BNP Paribas Open Attendance
Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Indian Wells, California
March 8 - 21, 2010
The BNP Paribas Open continues to be one of the most highly attended events on the ATP World Tour and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour circuits. In 2009, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden welcomed a record 332,498 people for the 12-day, 21-session tournament, eclipsing the mark set the previous year.
In an electrifying two weeks of tennis, ATP World No. 1 Rafael Nadal recaptured his title from an impressive line-up that featured past champions Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Lleyton Hewitt after coming back from the brink of defeat in his fourth-round match. On the women's side, Russian Vera Zvonareva became the first player since Lindsay Davenport in 2000 to claim both the singles and doubles titles in the same tournament week.
